So the christian fundie answer to the failing market is to pray to a golden bull. This just strikes me as completely odd as I thought praying to false idols was strictly forbidden. Something about a second commandment or something like that. Here’s a rather interesting post about it. I especially love the quote about socialism from space. On a side note that blog seems pretty interesting I may just have to follow it more often.

Yay! Hubble is back online and taking pictures.

Phoenix is a robotic lander that is currently sitting up near the north pole on Mars. It’s mission was to last 90 Martian days (sols) but has gone for 153 sols so far. But winter is rolling in and that means less sunlight for Phoenix and less power to do stuff. They’ve turned off and parked the robotic arm that it uses to dig around in the ground. After that they start turning off the heaters one by one (there are 5) until only the last heater is left. They will leave that one on and hope when spring comes the lander wakes back up and starts calling home. I’m hopeful but not sure if it’s very likely. The results that it will find have to take some time to process so we’ll be hearing news about what it found after it has died. There’s a big conference coming up on December 15 which should release a bunch of the discoveries it has made. (American Geophysical Union meeting)

Well it’s about that time. Fallout 3 is out. I haven’t played it yet and I’m pretty nervous about it but I’ll be picking it up soon and even if it’s a tenth of the game the first two Fallouts were then I’ll love it. Fallout is one of my all time favorite games.  I’m quietly wishing that it will be just as good as the first ones were. Of course if it turns out to be anywhere near as good I’m probably going to lose a lot of time into it.

As a test. To make sure everything is working alright. I still have a few changes to make before I’m completely happy with it but so far so good.
